Starship flies, Europe hires 😎
A talk with the CEO of LYRASENSE and a new way to see this week's jobs.

Hello everyone,
After such an amazing Starship launch yesterday (if you didn’t watch it stop what your doing and watch it), it’s good to remind ourselves that the space industry is going to grow a lot so it’s good to be ready (job-wise, of course 😉)
Also, this week we have another podcast episode.
This week, I spoke with Nader Labib, the CEO of a new startup called LYRASENSE. They are building a platform to empower everyone with AI agents to build applications with earth observation satellite data.
So interesting week to say the least.
Let’s go.
🚀 Spotlight: New on findaspacejob.com
Here are some of the most interesting and diverse roles I've added to the new job board this week. The site is now updated pretty much daily.
Internship - Right Hand to the CEO @ Opus Aerospace (France)
👉 This is not a bring-me-the-coffee-type internship... Probably closer to a masterclass/crash course on how a space company is built. A good opportunity, but probably for French speakers only
Control Systems Engineer @ Odysseus Space (Luxembourg)
👉 You might remember the podcast with their CEO. Now here's a chance to work on the core tech that controls their laser communication systems.
Control Systems Engineering Intern @ Odysseus Space (Luxembourg)
👉 … the same but for an intern 🙂
Cost Accounting Analyst @ ESA (Netherlands)
👉 Not everything are technical roles. ESA is a huge organisation that needs business and finance people. A nice opportunity to get into ESA without a purely technical background.
Internal Communication Officer @ ESA (France)
👉 … the same but related to communications (still not technical 🙂 )
Intern @ Involve Space (Italy)
👉 You’ll have to stand out other job seekers for this one but why not think outside the box?
(…and many more jobs on the new job board!)
🛰️ This week’s top jobs
As this week’s highlight is the successful Startship flight test, some jobs to highlight are of course those in Europe’s own launcher companies.
Why not help them reach orbit faster?
Intern Avionics Telemetry Engineer (f/m/d) @ Latitude (France)
Welding Engineer @ PLD Space (Spain)
Vehicle Development Engineer (m/f/d) @ RFA (Germany)
Manufacturing Engineer @ PLD Space (Spain)
Systems Engineer @ Orbex (UK)
Lean Engineer @ Isar Aerospace (Germany)
Intern (m/f/d) Electrical Engineering @ RFA (Germany)
🎙️ This Week's Podcast: The Non-Space Perspective That's Disrupting Earth Observation
This week I spoke with Nader Labib, founder of LYRASENSE, who's tackling one of the space industry's most overlooked problems: making Earth observation data actually usable.
Here's what caught my attention (and is relevant for you all): Nader's cofounder comes from outside the space industry, and he credits this "outsider lens" as part of their success. Fresh perspectives are bringing new approaches to an industry that's often stuck in old ways of doing things.
Key insights for your space career:
Why cross-industry experience is increasingly valuable in space
How AI skills are becoming essential in Earth observation roles
The growing demand for professionals who can bridge technical and business gaps
Why user-centric thinking is reshaping space companies
Whether you're already in space or looking to break in from another field, this conversation shows why diverse backgrounds are becoming the industry's superpower.
Speaking of diverse paths into space - this week's job board has roles perfect for career switchers, from data scientists to business development... just saying
